Heavy Snowfall in Kahramanmaraş

Heavy snowfall in Kahramanmaraş in the evening negatively affected daily life.  

Due to strong bora winds in Kahramanmaraş, a tree fell onto Trabzon Boulevard. There were no casualties or injuries, but some vehicles sustained minor damage.

We have entered Local Goods Week, which is celebrated every year in December in our country. This special week, observed in all schools between December 12-18, emphasizes the importance of being frugal, investing, and using locally produced goods. Millions of students and parents enjoy the events where stands are set up, and local products meet consumers, allowing them to shop and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere.

Eid is a special time when loved ones come together, and everyone spends these beautiful days with those closest to them. In Kahramanmaraş, Eid is even more special. It remains one of the rare places where family visits are still common, and holiday vacations are not seen as an opportunity to travel far away alone or with just the immediate family.

The Kahramanmaraş Promotion Days, set to take place in Feshane, Istanbul, from September 4 to 8, will showcase the beauty and rich culture of Kahramanmaraş for five days.

On February 11, 1920, without any support from the state, the people of Kahramanmaraş organized themselves into resistance groups and successfully defeated regular enemy armies, reclaiming their city. The Maraş resistance inspired the surrounding regions and, with the support of the Maraş fighters—particularly in Antep and neighboring cities—the area was liberated from enemy occupation.
